Applying to Operate a Public Water Supply
No person shall establish, extend, renovate, or alter a public water supply unless the owner or operator has obtained written approval to do so from the local authority (The Health Hazard Regulations).

For ground water sources (wells) a GUDI Assessment will be required to determine if the water is under the direct influence of surface water. GUDI Assessment

Please Note: Regardless of the system you are proposing to install the first step is to install a flow meter and monitor/record flow rates during peak usage.

Submit you application to you district public health inspector.
